Our Services
We offer a variety of ABA services to help your child learn and grow in their own way
Assessment
As part of our intake process your child will receive an initial assessment which is used to create an individualized plan for your child’s unique needs. The assessment process may include but is not limited to:
-
PEAK Comprehension Assessment
-
Adaptive Behavior Assessment, third addition (ABAS-3)
-
Play/Leisure Skills Assessment
-
Observations/Functional Analysis
-
Parent Interview
Individualized Intervention Plan
Includes goals/objectives specific to your child’s needs for acquisition of skills and/or reduction of problem behaviors.
Skill Building
We utilize the P.E.A.K (Promoting the Emergence of Advanced Knowledge) Relational Training System as the basis for skill building in the areas of communication (expressive, receptive and intraverbal.) It is also used to teach higher level skills that allow children to learn more complex concepts that ultimately provide the needed skills to acquire knowledge from the world around them rather than only during explicit teaching.
Activities of Daily Living
This includes, but not limited to teaching hair brushing, nail clipping, brushing teeth, dressing, washing hands, and bathing/showering.
Development of Play and Leisure Skills
Many children with autism have limited or restrictive play and leisure skills. At United Behavioral Solutions, we build on existing interests to expand the activities and age appropriate choices for play and leisure.
Toilet Training
If your child is still having accidents or hasn’t transitioned from diapers to using the toilet, we are able to toilet train your child and then work with family and school to generalize the skill over to home/school.
Feeding
Many children, young adults, and adults struggle with food sensitivity and restrictive diets. Applied Behavior Analysis can be applied to systematically desensitize and increase tolerance for eating a variety of foods.
Social Skills
Social skills are embedded throughout our sessions and integrated into play and leisure activities including, but not limited to: eye contact, turn-taking, conversations, sharing, greeting, and group activities with peers at the center.
A foundational component of our programming includes supporting parents in homes working on identified areas of difficulty. Family consultation is provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and does not take the place of instructional time at the center, but adds to the support offered.
